This unique casual fine dining restaurant offers a variety of traditional choices of Mediterranean cuisine with an Italian emphasis. Complete with arched brown brick ceilings that create a spacious atmosphere and complemented with warm wood furniture, Basilico also has an open kitchen with the live cooking station which is sure to impress.
Be amazed by the breath-taking view overlooking the Arabian Gulf and leisurely enjoy the best that life has to offer “La Dolce Vita.”
The spread was amazing and when you enter BASILICO it gives you a local market feeling in an elegant way where you can select your favorite dishes on the various stalls placed.
My eyes first caught on the various drinks placed in a barrel and it tastes equally refreshing and delicious.
The Salad section was a huge spread of Caesar Salad to fresh cut vegetables along with the Arabic section which had my favorite Hummus, Fattoush, Moutable etc.
My hubby’s favorite was the Cold Cuts where you can find a delicious spread of Angus Beef Carpaccio, Air Dried Beef, Salad of Orange Duck Breast. etc
The cold Cuts of Sea Food like Lobsters, Jumbo Prawns etc cannot be missed at all.
I was impressed how they portraited the various cheeses from SPAIN, ITALY, and FRANCE.
The mains were again a hit from BASILICO serving and bringing the cultures of Middle East, Mediterranean and Asian together.
Here comes on my table my favorite Porcini Risotto and some spread of Sushi’s as well.
How can you miss desserts after such a lavish spread of deliciousness? As Friday is always CHEAT day for me I do not mind for some tasty sweets as well.
To name a few my favorite was the New York Cheese Cake, Mouhalabia, Caramelized Lemon Tart Cake, Red Velvet Cake etc.
Overall it was such an amazing experience and if you looking for a Brunch away from the hustle and bustle of the city then BASILICO is just the right place for you.
