In July 2003, Chef Thomas Keller opened the doors of his first Bouchon Bakery. Located in Yountville, California, alongside Keller’s Bouchon Bistro and just down the road from The French Laundry, Bouchon Bakery was first conceived as a way to provide these restaurants with one-of-a-kind breads. Quickly, the bakery blossomed into an important establishment in its own right. In the style of classic French boulangeries, the bakery features a wide selection of artisanal breads and classic desserts inspired by Chef Keller’s memories of life in France, as well as his own childhood in the United States.
Blending traditional techniques with the science of bread making, the breads of Bouchon Bakery meet Chef Keller’s exacting standards. Pastry chef Nicholas Bonamico makes an array of sweet delights including classic Viennoiserie, such as croissants and pain au chocolat, breakfast items like muffins and coffee cakes as well as an ever-changing selection of tarts, cookies and other treats. The bakery also offers a full range of espresso drinks and coffee, custom-blended by Chef Keller’s longtime partner Equator Coffee Roasters. For guests interested in enjoying a full meal, Bouchon Bakery offers savory items like sandwiches, soup, salads and quiche.
From its inception, the bakery has served as a gathering place in the heart of the Napa Valley for residents and visitors alike. All of Bouchon Bakery’s offerings are available to be carried out or can be enjoyed in the adjacent, tree-shaded courtyard.
Bouchon Bakery is now opened in Dubai inside JBR, one of Meraas most mesmerizing properties.
To start with I ordered a Curried Chicken Soup, its a creamy coconut curry broth with braised chicken and chickpeas, garnished with fresh cilantro and fresh lime. Served with white epi baguette and butter.
I t came in a whole bowl perfect for two to share, tasted so delicious and perfect if you are going for some light lunch or dinner.
Quiche Forrestier, filled with roasted cremini mushrooms, thyme, sweet shallots and gruyere cheese. Served with mixed green salad.
It was so perfectly done, tasted divine and I must say the quantity of this place is too good for people to share.
From the Salad section I went with the Steak Salad, pan roasted flat iron steak served on a bed of endive and watercress with dried cherries, French Roquefort cheese and a walnut vinaigrette.
It was my favorite from the place, the Steaks all juicy and tender, perfectly medium well and tasted so delicious. Along with the ingredients and dressing it made a perfect Salad for the night.
Salmon Salad, pan seared salmon with nutty quinoa,, mesclun greens, market vegetables and crunchy hazelnuts all slightly dressed with Bouchon Vinaigrette.
B.L.T.E , Crispy Veal Beacon, Fried Egg, Heirloom, Tomatoes and Bibb Lettuce on toasted brioche Pullman Bread. Served with a mixed green salad. Usually it is taken during Breakfast time but I wanted to have a sneak peak of it so that It becomes easier for me to come back again.
And what I am definitely coming back for this.
Overall it was an amazing experience and they have a Valet Parking on minimum spend as well.
