Epicure is located at Desert Palm, where you can escape the city for a quiet hour or so by the swimming pool and polo fields as you read the day’s newspapers. Turn everything off and kick back with a soft drink while your gaze drifts over the Desert Palm’s surroundings. You’ll be served freshly baked bread and pastries, fruit compotes and hot breakfasts at this gourmet deli.
I went for lunch at this place and was impressed with the ambiance, decor and the best part was the place was just the side of the Pool.
For Drinks I ordered the Blackberry Lemonade done with fresh blackberries, lemon and crushed ice.
Every table is served with Freshly prepared Breads with in house Sauce and Butter.
From the Appetizers we went with the Vietnamese Fresh Spring Rolls done with Poached Prawns, Bean Sprouts, Coriander and Mint.
It tasted so well and everything was so very flavorful and delicious.
Asian Spiced Marinated Salmon Sashimi, done with Melon Salsa, Compressed Cucumber and Wasabi. This was done very perfectly and the sauce used as the base was sweet and added so much to the character to the dish.
Dried Beef Carpaccio, done with Lentil, Rocket Salad, Goat Cheese Crumble and Lemon Dressing. The beef was dried so well and tasted divine and delicious.
This was the hit of the place and I ended up having the entire plate.
From the mains I tried the Stir Fry Egg Noodles with Prawns. The oodles was done with Wok Fried Vegetables, Oyster Sauce and Vegetables.
This tasted so very delicious and indeed the most signature dish of the place.
Thai Chicken Green Curry with Chicken and served with Steamed Rice.
Lamb Chops, done with Roasted Vegetables, Sweet Potato Mash and Mint Jus.
The chops were so juicy and tender, delicious and divine. It was happiness in my mouth all of a sudden and I am definitely going back for this.
From the Dessert we tried the Eton Mess, done with fresh Strawberry, Strawberry Sauce, Cream Chantilly, Baked Meringue and Strawberry Ice Cream.
I really dint want ti eat this dessert as it looked so very pretty served inside a beautiful Ice Cream Jar.
Toffee Pecan Tart, done with caramelized pecan tart, orange butterscotch sauce, honey brandy snap, gianduja ice cream.
We ended up with a refreshing Cappuccino.
Overall it was an amazing experience and our host Miss Rossette, she was such a sweetheart and knew the Menu so very well.
