This is a place where you would love to go again and again, whenever you are in no mood of cooking and still get the best of home made food. Sometimes gastronomes does not impress us when it comes to daily doses of foods so you need DELHI DARBAR in your locality!!
Upon arrival we were served a Papad Chaat, a compliment of the day and I must say a good way to start your meal in the most Indianized way.
There was a whole lodes of Condiments from Papad, Onions, Pickles and Lemons.
How can I not order LASSI when I am here at the most refreshingly delicious place. I went for the Mango and my hubby took on the plain one. I must say thickness of the drink was best to assure the quality of it.
You should definitely try the Cocktail Shrimps, its juicy, tender and crisp in texture along with some real delicious taste. The seasoning is what made the dish even more relishing as it was infused till the last bite.
Tandoori Fish, fresh Pomfret grilled over a charcoal fire. Perfectly done as I was in love with the smoky flavor it created, all thanks to the Charcoal effect on it. The meat all delicious, juicy and tender and the spices used was infused perfectly well.
From the Choice of Tawa I went with the Mutton Keema and I must say a choice I would relish from now. Perfectly minced mutton’s and then tawa fried with the spices, yes of course those who like it hot this is just for you. Can go well with Naan and Tandoori Rotis.
Dum Mutton Paya, Lamb-Trotters slow cooked in rich aromatic gravy.I can never go without this and at Delhi Darbar I am 100% sure the serve the best ones. The taste can only be written once you have tried this one and it was worth it.
Butter Chicken, Julliene of char-grilled chicken cooked in rich tomato & cashew nut base gravy. It was a rich gravy with the purest of spices and best goes with the Rumali Roti I ordered.
Prawns Briyani, Prawns and Rice cooked together with a blend of secret spices. This ones my favorite as I always like my Briyani to be light in texture. It had the most flavorful taste and the aroma left was simply mouthwatering.
Here comes my favorite part of the meal DESSERTS!!!
Matka Angoodi Rabdi, a sweet, succulent small dumpling dipped in creamy milk. O MY GOSH!!! This ones perfect.I am definitely going back for this as it left happiness on every chill bite of it.
Dudhi Halwa, an Indian sweet dish made of bottle gourd cooked in thickened milk with dry fruits. Bottle Gourd cannot taste more perfect here at Delhi Darbar. Look at the gorgeously elegant color it left.
Overall it was an amazing experience as I am always a regular and I highly recommend to try any of their outlets in UAE.
