Farrokh Khambata, one of India’s most successful restaurateurs began his journey with fine food after a short stint with architecture! I was lucky enough to try their First ever Lunch Menu and it was worth a try. Amidst the Arabian Peninsula the food boast the best quality, taste and presentation.
To start off with a delicious meal ahead we ordered our Mocktails, Picasso done with Oranges and Berries, the first appealing was WOW from me as this place is known for the best presentation ever.
Clementine & Friends prepared with fruits of the forest like Pineapple and Mango, juicy clementines. This was my Hubby’s favorite and a refreshing drink to kick start your Menu.
I any restaurant the best part is the Desserts from my perspective as I have areal Sweet Tooth and thanks to Dubai for offering me such places for my cravings. But Jaan offers the best appetizer and I must say everything was worth a try.
Life of Nemo, raw sliced of Tuna in Japanese dashi condiment. The best part was its served in a small aquarium filled with cute little live Tunas, never seen a presentation like this before. The taste was divine as it boast the best best quality ingredients.
Cold Smoke Chaat, liquid nitrogen Dhokla crumble, crispy spinach, kurmura puffed rice and house chutney. It was like having my own Chaat back in India and also from my favorite stall. It was crispy, delicious and the best Chaat to eat it in a modern way inside a jewelry shelf with pearls laid on it.
Fire Cracker Roll, its a bidi bomb firecracker carrot and onion tempura vegan, avocado and masala edamame. The Veg Susi’s was the hit of the show, delectable small bites of happiness in my mouth. No need to go for Non Veg anymore because the Veg has done its magic so well.
Its served on a plate with fire at the bottom so justifies the name right? Fire Cracker Roll!!!
Hunter’s Poussin, clay oven cooked young chicken supremes with Basil and Cumin. My hubby’s favorite, it was like going for the delicious hunting with bows and arrows and YES, we did hunt the delicious Chicken ever.
Served with a delectable Beetroot Chutney on a Duck leg cutlery,you can imaging how well and detailed the Chef is about his presentation and quality.
Big Head Prawns done with Indian Butter Garlic style served in skewers. The butter garlic flavor and aroma added so much to the character of the prawns which was juicy, moist and delicious. A must try at Jaan The Penthouse!!!
Tandoori Tabanan KingKlip, Indian influenced Balinese flavors, kingklip South African native fish. O WOW, this was something worth a try, wrapped in Banana leaves and grilled with perfection. The fish all juicy, moist and delicious. I loved the smoky flavor which left on every bite of it.
Now here comes the Mains as I am already satisfied with the delicious appetizers, wondering the mains will really win me over and YES it did.
Dhaba Highway Restaurant Butter Chicken, the classic style, purely Dhaba types served in our very old Tiffin which we often carry in our school bags. the best I could ever had, served with Jaan Bread Basket which had Garlic Chive Naan, Rumali Roti and Whole Wheat Tandoori Roti.
Hand Pulled Kid Mutton, Aloo Tuk, Sous Vide Egg.
A velvety rich meat stew with crush Sindh potatoes, the meat all moist and tender, juicy and delicious. The Potatoes were perfectly done and the Egg’s is anytime my favorite.
Served in a Bone cutlery to do justice to the dish and infact it really did!!!
Sizzling Chole Hummus, Amritsari Kulcha. A hummus with whole chickpeas and Punjabi spices, stuffed and leavend breakfast bread. The best Punjabi Kulcha on the 31st floor amidst the Arabian Peninsula. The stuffed Kulcha was perfectly done with minced potatoes with spices and it added so much to Chole served.

Arabic Malai Reshmi Murgh Briyani, a soft, tender and mild Briyani was delectable on every bite. You will feel deliciousness with the best flavors and aromas served in dum styled.
Here comes my favorite part of the meal Desserts, LIFE IS SHORT EAT DESSERT FIRST!!!
French Toast Shahi Tukda, maple cinnamon squeezed with almondine kulfi. The best I had, crispy from outside and soft and moist from inside, the maple infused gave a lot of flavor and aroma to the dessert.
My favorite kulfi, almond flavored, all delicious and moist.
Nirvana, done with saffron panna cotta, Thandai Mousse and Raspberry Pour.This was the most hit of the show, the moist Panna Cotta was delicious on every bite and the thandai on top added so much to the character of the dessert.
The raspberry mousse was topped on it and it added a little pungent effect to the dessert which was indeed the best flavorful sweet for a Sweet Tooth!!!!

The Christmas will boast Goodies at AED 399, Eclectic fusion of Christmas inspired creations with provocateur presentation in true JAAN style. Premium open bar with free flowing small plates & appetizer.
Christmas Eve Dinner Menu at AED 399, featuring the most celebrated dishes infused with traditional Christmas ingredients accompanied with fine wine.

The New Year Menu!!!!
Guests will be treated to an array of package options starting with a New Year’s Eve Dinner for AED 1000 per person for a seven-course menu featuring the most celebrated JAAN favourites accompanied by bottles of red and white wine. For AED 1499 guests can enjoy the same delightful seven-course menu complemented with a free flowing premium alcohol package.
Alternatively, New Year’s Eve Drinks are offered for AED 1200 per person including a free flowing premium open bar, small plates and appetizers. If guests are after an even more VIP treatment, they are welcomed to experience the JAAN VIP table at AED 3000 per person, with a minimum of 8 guests, seven-course menu and a premium free flowing beverage package. Guests are urged to book as all packages have limited availability.
Overall it was an amazing experience, everything was just perfect from food, ambiance, taste and presentation.
