After spending almost 5 years in Dubai now, trying the world cuisine we accidentally miss the cuisines of the particular place where we live in. I can bet that most people who have leaved here for ages have even not aware what actually the Emirati people have in their dining tables. Aseelah has bought the Emirati cuisine to us to its unique menu combination of the old and the new, it takes guests on a journey from Dubai’s humble roots to today’s modern achievements. The dishes represent a rich and unique taste, full of flavors such as saffron, ginger, cardamom, thyme and turmeric, all of which describe Emirati cookery.

Each and every dish, whether original Emirati or with a modern twist, is cooked with purely local produce so that the guests can savour the true experience and original taste of the dishes. Aseelah welcomes guests with a unique interior, comfortable seating, private dining rooms, a modern bar with beats from an in-house DJ and a spacious terrace with lounge seating offering great views of the Dubai Skyline. The restaurant manager Mohammed Sayed explained me so well about the place Interiors and how they had actually portrait the same design of every Emirati house.

For the Amouse Bousse I was served Date Cheese Bread, a delectable bite of tiny breads done with cheese on top and completed with a date minced. I am definitely going back for this amazing little wonder, it was like happiness in my mouth.

How can you miss the Breads straight from the oven, hot and fresh. A house made Butter with Ghee prepared and served frozen with the piping hot breads and its like heaven in my mouth. And mind you this not decrease but instead increase the your appetite.

I ordered a Saj Bread with Tomatoes and to my surprise saw it live cooking, it took only 3 min from a dough to Saj journey and I must one of the most fresh, delicious and moist Saj ever tasted by TheShazWorld.

Now here comes my soup, Spiced Parsnip & Almond Soup. Creamy soup made of parsnip and almond served with crispy veal beacon and saffron oil. When it came I was skeptical to try as the texture was looking very heavy so I really did not want to make it more heavier but to my surprise the rich and creamy texture was actually very light to taste. The saffron oil added such flavors to the soup. I liked the creamish light yellow color it left after it stirred it well.

Beetroot Carpaccio, prepared with fresh wild rocket, lemon juice and olive oil. Served with Tahini flavored Laban. O what a lovely!!!! The beetroot had a very delightful pungent taste and with the tahini flavored laban it was outrageous.  I ended up having the entire Salad and I am not ashamed of, the delicacy was so relishing that you cannot just leave with one spoon.

From the mains I had Aseelah Signature Chicken Roulade, chicken leg stuffed with fresh dates and bezar spices. Served with freekeh risotto, smoked eggplant puree, roasted peppers and pan jus. This was the star of the evening, a perfect mingling of local spices with sweet dates and this added a lot of flavors to the character of the dish.

A must try at Aseelah and I was also impressed with the gorgeous presentation serve don a white elegant plate, I got some real nice pics though!!!!

Here comes my favorite meal of the night the DESSERTS. And after a delicious dinner I am sure the Dessert will be miraculously delectable over here at Aseelah.

Date Pudding, warm date pudding served with poached Dates, Mango & Passion Ice Cream and topped with caramelized sugar net crisp. It was heaven in my mouth, warm and fresh sweets just melted in my mouth. This was the best that could come out of the kitchen of this delectable place.

Our host of the evening Mr.Kareem, O wow he really knows to impress the customers with his sweet gesture and immense knowledge about the Emirati Cusiine. Aseelah surely gets one point extra for Kareem.

I had the pleasure of taking a pic of the Chef and indeed I am very thankful to him for serving us such a delicacy and to introduce Emirati Cuisine both in traditional and modern cuisine.

Overall it was an amazing experience, I enjoyed each and every dish served on the table and was very happy to taste it as residing in Dubai now if I do not taste the actual cuisine then it would have been a great missed out from my side as a foodie and blogger.
