Its time for the 2nd Savoie Week and Pachanga Hilton JBR brings the festive moods in a great pomps and shows. ‘Les Gentianettes’ Pop – Up Restaurant by Chef Claude Trincaz
from 10th to 15th October, 6:30 pm to 11:00 pm. The whole environment is an aura of French cuisine with traditional Savoy music, so it seems that that WELCOME TO FRANCE!!!!
The interiors itself had that Europe vibes with traditional Savoy music, a wine cellar, you feel you are led into a cozy environment same what goes back in winter at France. People merrymaking the festival with the best French cuisine, fondue cheese, sirloin steak, french bakeries etc. A celebration worth experienced, you need not to visit FRANCE for a while now.
To start with i was offered French Breads with slice of butter. It was fresh from the kitchen, all house made and totally divine.
Mushroom Soup, O MY GOSH!!! The perfect minced mushrooms with delightful cream and a soupstick on top. It was a thick, creamy and delightful taste, I guess one of the best.
For starters I ordered the Sea Bass prepared with citrus fruit, light wasabi and. I usually do not go for Raw fish but over here by the Chef expert’s it was was delicious. The cream served with the fish played the trick and it was amazing.
Sirloin Steak, the best that could come out of the kitchen of Pachanga. The best medium done steak with a prepared with a delightful sauce and served with Grilled Vegetables and Pasta.
Lumberjack Platter To Share, served with potato fritters, green salad, reblochon, abondance, beaufort cheeses and dry beef cuts on a slate of wood platter.
Duck Marget with Blueberry, perfectly marinated and the most tender, succulent and delicious meat on every bite. Served with grilled and fritter potatoes. The Blueberry sauce added so much character to the meat.
For the drinks I ordered Latino, prepared with passion fruit, lemon juice and soda water. It was refreshing and had a very soothing taste.
La Fondue, this was one of the most star dish of the show. Melting Cheese straight from Europe served with French breads, Beef Cuts and Potato Fritters. O MY GOSH!!! Never tried such a delicacy before, this cannot be missed during the Savoei Week at Pachanga.
Now for Desserts we were served from the choice of Charles, a passionate foodie and knows his ,menu very well.
Creme Brulee with Pine Tree Buds, its a blueberry sorbet and crunchy crisp. The cream on the bowl had a very pungent aftermath taste due to the pine nuts but the sorbet plays the trick and adds the sweet factor to it.
Wild Red Berry Soup, this one was very appealing to the eyes. A surprise lies inside the covered bowl with a crisp dough and WAAALLLAHHH!!! a berry soup served with ice cream bowl, the two was the perfect mixture and left a very delightful taste to it.
