After its successful venture in Dragon Mart 2 and JLT, Yellow Chilly has stepped its foot into the Burjuman Center with the same delicacies and taste. I was excited to visit this place as my experience at the Dragon Mart 2 was amazing. The ambiance of the place in Dragon Mart 2, International City, recently opened shouted out loud about Indian heritage and culture in a modernized version. The walls depicting pictures from Indian artifacts, the cozy and comfy leather chairs, the bright and vibrant colors of the paints. Here you can be assured of the best of Indian cuisine, presented impeccably in the classiest of tableware. The menu bears Master Chef Sanjeev Kapoor’s stamp of authority with quite a few of his signature dishes like Peru Pyala, Lalla Mussa Dal, Shaam Savera, Puran Singh da Tariwala Murgh, Gulab e Gulkand and many more.

The drinks are always the best over here, even if you are just passing by do not forget to stop by and have their refreshing drinks. For myself i ordered the Lychee Cremiso, lychee flushed with flavors of ginger and mint. A refreshing delicacy with a hint of ginger and mint gave a lot of character to the drink.
My friends order was the Tarbooza, fresh watermelon juice with fresh mint and black salt. O WHAT A DRINK!!!!The best for summers and the black salt acted as the master to this fresh drink. It gave such a delicacy to the drink that its still lingers in my mouth.
Now for Condiments we were bought Papad, Mint Chutney, Pickles and Papaya Relish.
The Veg starters we were served Dahi Ke Kebab and Chana Jor Garam Tikki.
Dahi Ke Kebab, mango chutney stuffed yogurt cakes, fried to perfection. My first Dahi ke Kebab was way long back in Delhi and i still remember its taste as i am always in look out those little perfection in Dubai, all thanks to Yellow Chilly it has got the same authentic taste, remembering my old college days in front of the college
Chana Jor Garam Tikki, potato patty cooked with crunchy chickpea flakes, served with Mint cream Yogurt and Papaya relish. O WOW WHAT A DELICACY!!!! The stuffed potatoes with dry fruits and raisins were very delectable, perfectly done and you want it to have it again and again. For all veg lovers but being a hard core non vegetarian this one was my favorite starter of the day.
For the Non Veg Starters we were served a platter full of Kebabs, Grills and Fries. Trt with the list goes like this :
- Pudina Seekh, tender minty minced mutton skewers.
- Achari Jhinga, Prawns marinated with pickled flavors spices, cooked to perfection with Tandoor.

The starters were the hit of the show, all done with the perfect marination, grilled or pan fried. To tell the truth i was actually waiting for the starters to come as i have the most liking for it only at Yellow Chilly.

Murg Rara, PUNJABI DI PASAND!!! Tender Chicken with Mutton Keema- Richa nd Spicy. The best that could come out from 2 most delicious meat. Its Chicken and Mutton Minced combined giving you the most rich, thick, spicy and creamy gravy which goes very well with the Naan’s served.
Dal Makhani, The primary ingredients in dal makhani are whole black lentil (urad) with red kidney beans (rajma), butter and cream. The traditional preparation of dal makhani involves a series of time-consuming procedures, which can take up to 24 hours to complete. However, with the availability of modern cooking equipment, including electric pressure cookers, the preparation time of the dish has reduced significantly to 2–3 hours. The perfect Dal Makhani ever tasted by me, the Lalla Mussa Dal. A blend of black and green lentils in their signature style, the ghee flavored, the thick creamy dal, no words to express the taste as it was so delicious and delicious and delicious!! Again served in pot pan to give us the desi look to it.The best i have ever tasted, so rich, creamy, thick and heavenly delicious. The perfect that could come out from Sanjeev Kapoor’s kitchen and served in a traditional copper pan, lots of old memories falshed back with my mom cooking in the kitchen with
As i always have space for dessert, how can i say no to it.
The signature dessert, Gulab-E-Gulkand, new avtar of the traditional gulab jamun soft, condensed milk balls stuffed with candied rose petals. So delicious and so appealing. Served in a hole plate holding the perfect size gulab jamun and the stuffing was way to out of the box. The deliciously done and presented is a must try out in The Yellow Chilli.
My next dessert was Zauk-E-Shahi, the taste from India, mini gulab jamuns served with rabdi and crispy sweetened bread, sprinkled with pistachios. This cold dessert was another master piece by the place. Served in a cocktail glass, look at the vivacious yellow and red color of it. So delicious yet so throwback to my college memories.
This place has got my favorite Cutting Chai back on my days as a student when i use to sometimes take the train to travel home. The memories just flashed by as the same tradition is followed, the Manager Ashraf himself brings the Cutting Chai same as on the trains back in India. The tea is the typical desi taste, a life savor as i found my tea from my land India!!
I was lucky enough to meet Chef Pankaj and the vibrant Manager of the restaurant Mr.Ashraf. Its always nice to meet people related to Food as you can go on and on with your Food talks.
