Whether you’re craving a sweet treat and a cup of coffee, or dinner you will find it in one of the restaurants at Four Points Sheraton Bur Dubai. As a bloggers group we were invited to taste the Ramadan Buffet at Promenade, Lobby Level of the hotel.
Promenade is located at the Lobby Level of Four Points Sheraton Bur Dubai which is located on Bank Street, in the historic heart of Dubai. A 10-minute drive from the Dubai International Airport, Dubai World Trade Center and public beach, it provides easy access to the Dubai Metro via two metro stations: Burjuman and Al Fahidi. It is also walking distance from the city’s most popular tourist attractions, such as Dubai Museum, Meena Bazaar and the old Bastakiya Quarters.
We were welcomed by the warm gesture of placing our blog handle names on plates with Dates, Nuts, Cashew and the base was cream based saffron to break our fast in this Holy Month of Ramadan. An unique yet sweet play by the team of Four Points by Sheraton Bur Dubai.
Now as it was buffet spread for Iftar, the soup section had Jordanian Tomato Rice & Chicken Soup and Lentil Soup.
As i am always fond of Ramadan drinks these place has placed in a huge quantity of drinks in jars for our thirst quenchers. Rooh Afza, Jallab and Laban, all refreshing and soothing.
The Salad section was in a variety and to name a few it was a spread of Chicken Tikka Salad, Three Bean Salad, Greek Salad etc. My personal hit was the Three Bean Salad and the Chicken Tikka.
The Cold Mezze had the Hummus, Baba Ganoush, Fried Vegetable with Tahini etc.
I was in love with the Bread section, as it was fresh from the ovens. All delectable breads of flavors and plain to get buttered up by me.
The Dates, Dry Fruits section was beautifully presented keeping in mind the traditional for the Ramadan.
For the mains i tried the Chicken Makhlouba, is a traditional dish of Palestine, also popular among Palestinians in Jordan. The dish includes meat, rice, and fried vegetables placed in a pot, which is then flipped upside down when served , hence the name maqluba, which translates literally as “upside-down”.
The Chicken Makhlouba is flavored rice with vegetables, egg boils and chicken. A good taste and a well done mixture of all the ingredients used.
The Chole Kulcha was live prepared by the Chef, a light spiced up,good for Iftar and the Kulchas were all fluffy and fresh.
The Malabari Fish Curry, with a punch of curry leaves and the boneless fishes were spiced to the last bite.
From the Hot Mezze we were served Vegetable Samosa, Mix Vegetable Pakoda, Chicken Spring Roll and Kibbeh.
From the dessert section, the quantity was good enough after fasting, the sweet tooth includes Um Ali, Rice Kheer Pudding, Basboussa Orange, Luqaimat, Vanilla Pastry, Katayef Nuts, Baked Cheese Cake, Mahabalia Pistachio, Kunafa Cheese, Jalebi, Chocolate Mousse.
My favorites was the Chocolate Mousse and Baked Cheese Cake, a light sweetened and perfect to end your Iftar.
Arabic Coffees served for the Iftar.
The Iftar priced at AED 89, Promenade, Lobby Level.
