Signature by Sanjeev Kapoor is a super fine dining restaurant that serves Chef Sanjeev Kapoor’s authentic Indian and signature dishes. At the signature chain of restaurants, food is the focus. By a combination of authentic processes and ingredient selection we aspire to position ‘Signature’ as the last word on Indian cuisine.
Sink into the elegant, themed ambiance with decor that reflects the authenticity and elegance. With clean, simple decor and low lighting, including the reliable classics and some more inventive dishes. The decor all shouted Indian arte with a modern hues. A ll dark and decked up with shimmer lights, this place if for some romantic gate always on.
I was invited for the Ramadan Preview by the gorgeous and Masala Award winner JivewithDeepti to taste their delectables that will be serving during the holy month of Ramadan.
The tables were placed with the usual Dates, Fruits, Candies and cold mezze like Hummus, Baba Ganoush and Tabouleh. The Raita all decked with the beauty presentation.
Artistic poppadoms arrive with fresh, creative chutneys (including pineapple), while the papads were served to taste all the delectable chutneys on.
Now comes the best part, the Golgappa shots, it was like one shot and go!! Refreshing and just one shot is enough for the great start to the evening. The water was prepared with mint, a soothing taste to my taste buds.
Served with Mango Pinnacolada at the bottom of the Golgappa slots,this was one of its kind. Very sharp and jelly structure, in one gulf you think What the Hell!!But sometimes sharp is good and refreshing.
For the starters we were served both Veg and Non Veg plates, and being a non veg by heart, soul and mind i ordered for my plate of those delectable bad boys.
Saffron Scented Prawns, Olive and Nuts Stuffed Chicken Roulade, Sumac Spiked Grilled Prawns and Charcoal Roast Lamb Chops. I love the prawns, it was tender and the spices all infused till the last bone and also the stuffed chicken it left a flavorful taste with the nuts and the chicken mingled.
The Spread of mains was in varieties starting with
Chicken Briyani, served in a traditional manner in a hot pot.
Dum Ka Murg, as my favorite as it was thick, creamy and the spices all infused till the last bones. The meat all juicy and tender perfect with the Butter Naan served.
The Lamb Curry, was mild spicy all decked up with the spices used.
Lalla Mussa Dal, was the hit of the show, very rich and creamy.Perfectly done with all the spices, wholly infused till the last bite and very delectable with the assorted breads served.
Now comes my favorite part, the Desserts. Beautifully presented on a glass rack round server, the first look of it was WOW from me.
Mahalabia, Phirnee, Chenna Angoori, Malpua and Gazar Ka Halwa. All created and presented by the Chef himself.
Thank You Chef Chandra Chur for the delectable sweets as souvenir, i will definitely come back to try your sweets on. Super excited to use the Voucher for Spa at Melia Dubai.
