I visited the Karama Branch, thank you Mr.Riyas for the invite and Mr.Paul for the outstanding hospitality. The place is quiet spacious with a restaurant downstairs and a party hall up stairs. The comfy chairs, lovely seating, display of signature starters and desserts and a buffet section is quiet a catch when you enter. You are welcome with a freshly squeezed Orange Juice, very refreshing yet delicious.
As we were comfortable we ordered a Mexican Soda and Blue Lemonade, with a punch of Sprite to it, beautifully done with Green Chilli and Lemon.
As advise by Mr.Paul we ordered Prawns Dry fry, the prawns batter fried with Indian spices with onions, capsicums, very spicy yet very delicious. As a spice lover this was meant for me, i can literally feel my taste filled with hot spices.
Our next was Hawai Chicken Kabab, a paste made of green masala with mint, onion and coriander and a hint of pineapple flavor to it. The chicken was juicy and tender and the masala was infused till the bones served with a mint sauce.
Karimeen Pollichathu, Pearl Spot is one of the star foods of Kerela, marinated pearl fish is wrapped in banana leaf and grilled resulting in one of the delicious fish delicacy of Kerela. It was so playfully mingled with the spices used, very spicy yet very tasty. The masala infused till the bones.
Mutton Leg, Full lamb leg marinated overnight with a variety of spices and slow roasted in a grill oven, served with a home made chutney and mint sauce. The leg all delicious with the masala all mingled well, so juicy, so tender and so delicious.
Chicken Manchurian Masala, chicken with ginger garlic, seasonings and garam masala and finished with a soy sauce. The Chinese version got Indianized and fusionised here. Served with a specialized compressed coin paratha.
Sesame Prawn Tossed, chopped prawns with onions and seasonings, stuffed on a bread and coated with flour to deep fried, a unique concept prawns on a bread but risk worth taken, served with Garlic Mayo.
Gudbud, its a combination of different ice creams from vanilla, chocolate and strawberry, with nuts, raisins, almonds, topped with chocolate sauce and jams in red and green, decorated with a wafer. A lovely dessert and so gaudy to look, and it made my evening sweet and happy.
And it ended with a Karak Tea, freshly prepared right when you order, very refreshing it helped my hubby to get energized and drive back home.
