A luxurious property in the heart of downtown Al Sharjah. Overlooking the city’s Khalid Lagoon and picturesque Al Majaz Waterfront. An exceptional meal with a magnificent view of the lagoon. The Tulip Restaurant is an all day dining restaurant, offering a variety of international flavors served in local hospitality.
We were invited for a 25th marriage anniversary of one of our family member across the beautiful Majaz waterfront with a luscious buffet of varied choices. Beautifully decorated with the utmost space for guest, good option for big parties and gatherings, vibrant and bright lights hanging up from the ceilings, green soft leather covered chairs, the section of the food is placed with no hassle as one gets to select with time and variety in it.
The hospitality of the place is my first hit of the night followed with the food, the head chef coming and addressing is another a very good gesture by the team of GoldenTulips.
There was a bed of dishes laid with the utmost varieties and taste in it. Starting with the cold buffet section we got to try the salads in its most delectable yet unique way of getting presented, to name a few there was the corn salad, the bean salad, the hummus, the tahina, pasta salad, the cucumber and tomato salad etc. Each salad spread was so wow inside everyone’s appetite.
The dressings of the salads were way to good and presented on the white jars was yet a creativity with design and with the luscious taste. I personally loved the french dressing and the cocktail dressing for my selection of salads.
The Salad Station consisted of the Chicken in orange sauce, the fish in Orange sauce, an apple citrus with a cheese slice placed in small jars, the raw veggies, the bean salad etc, every dish had one of its kind of taste and delectability to it. My favorite was the chicken in orange sauce.
The other spread of the Salad Station had the Russian salad, the potato salad, the cheese salad and the raw veggies used as garnishing or also can be eaten fresh with the dressings available. The Russian and the potato salad was the worth try.
One personal salad with the beautifully placed jars was my first spotting,so vibrant and so colorful, full of apples, tomatoes and a slice of cheese added so much character to it.So cute yet so delicious.
There was also a Bread Section to enjoy the soup with, i just love the way the artistic breads were placed in with different shapes and designs.
There were two soups for the evening, the cream of chicken soup and the sweet corn vegetable soup.I tried the chicken one, it was thick and creamy, best goes with a pinch of pepper and a piece of a placed bread on the counter.
The main course was placed in a different section, it becomes easy to grab it and as well as to choose well. With the help of the chef i could take a picture in a whole turn.Placed in steel buffet servings to keep it warm and hot.
The main course spread started with Muttton Briyani, Rice, Chicken Tikka Masala, Grilled Fish, Beef Sheekh Kabab in one section.
The Sheekh Kababs were soft, juicy and tender. The spices and the herbs were so well mingled with the flesh that we could get a delectable taste out of it.
My personal favorite was the Chicken Tikka Masala, very well done with the spices and the herbs used. We could feel the heavy spiciness, the hot and the softness of the chicken, beautifully blended with onions which gave a very good taste to it.
My second favorite was the Grilled Fish, so perfectly grilled with a mild spice, served with a pungent sauce which added so much character to it. A worth try out dish.
The other section had the Fried Noodles, Dal, Paneer Makhanwala, Mash Potato, Steam Veggies.
The Mas Potato was very cheesy and creamy, that’s what i always like about this dish. It should be moist and soft and cheesy and creamy too. This was perfect for my cravings for mash potatoes ever.
As i always have space for dessert and this place has got some real bad boys stored for us, starting from UmAli, Banana Split,Fresh Fruit Salad, Cheese Cake, Home made apple pie, carrot cake, chocolate cake, vermicelli etc.
My favorite was the Vermicelli and the carrot cake. The carrot cake was moist and very soft, the icing was my hit so thick and delicious in ones mouth.
The main agenda to blog about this place is that you could invite a big number with the utmost space provided, the Majaz waterfront is the hit of the place, its very pocket friendly and you get to enjoy a good meal overall. So a good place to try out and book for special occasions in life.
