The chefs had shown off their cookery skills in front of a live audience in the show’s culinary theater. I was lucky enough to witness it live.My first live cooking show and Chef Andy Bates had made it a time to always remember.
Andy Bates is a champion of British food and family style cooking.Andy loves to create modern twists on classic dishes from traditional British to international street food inspired by his travels for his Food Network TV series, ‘Street Feasts’. He is also a regular contributor on the BBC Two series, Food & Drink.Andy has a passion for discovering the places and the people behind the dishes and regularly participates at food festivals and events both in the UK and around the world including, for the first time, the AbuDhabi Food Festival and Taste of Dubai.Andy has become a leading expert on street food and new food trends. He has also written a cookbook offering modern twists on classic dishes and is the founder of catering business ‘Eat my Pies’ which specializes in classic British pies, Scotch eggs and tarts. Andy lives by the quote “You should always finish on a little bit of pudding”.
Chef Andy Bates prepared two dishes one The Snickerdoodle Ice Cream Sandwich and the Lamb Pie & Broad Bean Mash and what a show it was, learning, chatting, dancing to the tunes and seeing the gem working in the kitchen!!!is itself a dream come true.Had a chance to quickly meet him and talk for a while,a very down to heart man with lots and lots of generosity.
My second show was with Chef Atul Kochchar, the gem from my country.
Atul Kochhar rose to fame as the first Indian chef to receive a Michelin star.He opened the world famous Benares Restaurant in Mayfair in 2003 and also has restaurants in Kent, Marlow and Dubai. His food has won critical acclaim and is best known for its unique blend of spices. Now a distinguished TV personality, Atul has appeared regularly on several TV shows. The first Michelin star was accomplished during his tenure as Head Chef at Tamarind in 2001, he was then awarded his second Michelin star in 2007 for Benares.
His style was Indian Cuisine at its best and prepared Lahori Chicken and Curry Fish.A perfectionist rather yet a very humble person and always eager to share his restaurants flourishing all over the world.Being a Punjabi by heart, and ambitions in his dreams.
After the show i went for strolling there were counters placed from all perspectives related to food.
